Grand visitor congestion and especially diverse music:
In its ninth year the festival young.euro.classic again approves and strengthens its image as unique platform for the best national and international youth orchestras. The festival ended on August 15th with an excellent performance of the national youth orchestra of France. In the course of totally 15 almost sold out concerts about 23.500 people visited the Konzerthaus Berlin.

This year the European Composer Award of the city of Berlin - endowed with 5.000 euros – goes to the Turkish composer Ahmet Altinel for the best contemporary world premier. His composition „Les Sources de la Nuit“ (The Sources of the Night) was especially commissioned for young.euro.classic and was performed at the festival on August 16th by the National Youth Symphony Orchestra of Turkey. more...
